Color Theory Guide

Color harmony rules help you create visually pleasing palettes. Common schemes include Analogous (colors next to each other on the wheel), Complementary (opposites), Triadic (evenly spaced), and Monochromatic (same hue, different values).

Harmony Rules

  • Analogous: Three adjacent hues around base.
  • Complementary: Base hue and opposite hue.
  • Triadic: Three hues 120° apart.
  • Tetradic: Two complementary pairs.
  • Monochromatic: One hue varied by saturation and lightness.
